SpotitEarly Knowledge Center

At the 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting, two of the largest multi-cancer early detection studies, PATHFINDER 2 and NHS-Galleri, reported their results. This article explains what they showed about detecting more cancers earlier and more safely, why one trial missed its primary endpoint, and what the findings mean for the future of cancer screening, including SpotitEarly's breath-based approach.

The global cancer diagnostics market is on track to reach $155 billion by 2030, with multi-cancer early detection (MCED) growing even faster. This article looks at the scale of the market, the gaps in current screening, the recent enactment of H.R. 842 into Medicare law, and the dynamics driving growth. It also positions SpotitEarly's breath-based pre-screening approach within an expanding category that is shifting healthcare from late treatment toward earlier detection.
