About SpotitEarly
SpotitEarly is pioneering a new era in early cancer detection. Using an innovative combination of AI, VOC analysis, and trained detection dogs, we are reshaping how the world identifies cancer at its earliest, most treatable stages. Our mission is simple: save lives through early detection.
Here, compassion meets science. Innovation meets purpose. And every team member plays a vital role in bringing life-changing technology to patients, hospitals, and research partners.
If you are passionate about healthcare, operational excellence, and being part of groundbreaking clinical work — you’re in the right place.
We are growing quickly and are looking for dedicated professionals who want to contribute directly to the future of early cancer detection.
Lab Assistant (Clinical Operations)
As a Labortant at SpotitEarly, you will support the daily operational backbone of our clinical research: working closely with our certified dog trainers, partners in leading hospitals, study participants, and our CLIA-certified laboratory team.
Your work directly impacts the success of our clinical studies and the quality of our testing process.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideal for someone who is responsible, organized, and excited to work in a unique environment combining science, healthcare, and animal training.
Why Join SpotitEarly as a Lab Assistant?
Our Clinical Operations and Lab teams are at the heart of everything we do. This role offers:
• Daily involvement in real clinical research
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams — trainers, clinicians, nurses, R&D, and biotech experts
• Direct contribution to the future of early cancer detection
• A highly structured onboarding and training program
• Opportunities to grow into more senior roles in clinical operations, lab management, or study coordination
You won’t just be part of a company, you’ll be part of a mission.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Support daily lab operations, including sample handling, preparation, and chain-of-custody documentation
• Assist trainers during dog training and testing sessions
• Coordinate with hospitals and clinical sites regarding participant scheduling, sample collection, and logistics
• Participate in daily operational briefings and ensure all protocols are followed
• Maintain strict compliance with CLIA standards and internal SOPs
• Track session performance, log data, and maintain accurate records in our digital systems
• Ensure the training environment is clean, safe, and prepared for each session
• Communicate with study participants, provide instructions, and support a positive experience
• Work cross-functionally with clinical, operations, QA, and R&D teams
• Identify operational inefficiencies and suggest improvements
• Support equipment setup, calibration, and basic troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a clinical lab, hospital, biotech, veterinary, or research environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse groups (trainers, clinicians, participants)
• High attention to detail and commitment to following strict protocols
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment with daily schedules
• Comfortable working around dogs and participating in training setups
• Valid driver’s license (advantage)
• Degree or certification in biology, medical laboratory sciences, animal science, biotechnology — or equivalent experience
